Why Slow and Steady Wins the Race in Social Media

A lot of the times, new business pop up and their owners are so excited about this new venture that they think they need to see quick growth on social media. This mindset may lead them to make some rash decisions such as buying followers or spending too much on ads. And it may look impressive to investors to have gained over 1,000 followers in under a month, but savvy investors know there's more to it than that. A Pandronian by the name of Honorary Commander Ari bn Bem accompanies an away team on a simple mission and screws everything up.

So this idiot alien joins the crew on an away mission to study a planet and when they're down their his creepy legs break off from his creepy body in order to creepily and secretly replace the party's weapons with non-functioning ones. Oh, yeah, this mission is gonna go well...

The planet's inhabitants are pre-industrial which means also pre-warp which also means Prime Directive says DO NOT TOUCH. So what does Bem do? The first chance he gets, he ducks off into the thick woods, separates into three parts and loses the landing party in order to get himself trapped. The landing party, ever mindful of the Prime Directive, waits until night time to go save him. And when they do, Bem reveals that his plan was to get caught in order to observe. As soon as everyone's palms are safely removed from their faces, they get caught trying to save Bem and are imprisoned themselves.
That's when Kirk and Spock find out that Bem can split up into three parts. And even though he can do that, refuses to use such power to free Kirk and Spock. Well, eventually Bem gets bored and just walks away... but not before returning the working phasers and communicators to Kirk and Spock. They use these things to escape, only to be paralyzed by a gigantic energy being who pretty much says "WHAT THE FRAK IS GOING ON DOWN THERE?!"

Apparently this energy being is directing the species on this planet toward intelligence and now Starfleet as come along and mucked everything up. Kirk and Spock agree to leave with Bem. Bem learns a valuable lesson about the way humans operate, and the once again the day is saved... after being royally screwed up by Bem.

Overall Thoughts
Bem is the Jar-Jar Binks of the Star Trek universe. That is all.
